I’m a Yorkshireman living in Scotland – my friendS say my products are “made by that Yorkshire bloKE…”
Hello – my name is Simon. I’m that Yorkshire bloke.
I’m from Yorkshire – no real surprise there – and I currently live in Scotland. I lived in the Lake District for a time, where I married my wife and we started to raise our children.
I am lucky to have lived in some beautiful places and to know some very good friends – many of them refer to the products I make as “made by that Yorkshire bloke“.
I really enjoy working with wood. I have made pens in the past, and recently bought myself a laser engraver. I enjoy designing the images that are engraved into the hand selected lengths of wood and then filling the resulting voids with coloured epoxy resin.
I’m also using my laser engraver to cut out silhouettes in heavy card. I’m backing these with tartan at the moment to create some iconic Scottish silhouettes. I do live in Scotland after all…
